Welcome to our web site! We are a small breeder of Great Danes, who
also show our danes at times. Currently we own 3 full european imported girls. FeFe is our Show Marked Harlequin
German Import from Von Schleisein Kennel. Nokomis is our Merle Mantle Russian Import from OldBluz Kennel. Zora
is a Show Marked Harlequin Poland Import from Moloseum Kennel. We also own a spayed American/European lineage girl
named Cookie. She was our american foundation bitch, and a very well put together female with unbeatable conformation
and temperment. Our pet dane is Duke, a big black neutered male, who had hip dysplasia since
the age of 6 months, and is why he was neutered. He is still my lap baby, and definitely a mama's boy. He is NOT
of my breedings. His pedigree consists of Infinity lines. We also have a new imported male
puppy named Vaneo sired from Castello delle Rocche, and has their unique and highly sought after looks. We are excited
about bring this line into our breeding program! His health testing is scheduled to be complete in June 2010. Feel
free to browse our website and view photos of all our Danes :) A little about us: Welcome to MWD Great Danes! I have owned and researched the Great Dane
breed since 1998. After educating myself through other breeders, and personal experience, I have recently expanded into
the breeding and occasional showing of these Gentle Giants. My goal in breeding is to offer quality offspring to the general public, as well as other breeders, that
will excel in health first and foremost, have proper conformation, unparralled temperments, correct size, and to
increase longevity in the breed. Although I
do not show often, my goal in showing is to ascertain that I am meeting my breeding goals. My
income does not depend on my breedings, therefore I can plan and be more selective to attain my goals over time. My
long-term goal is to see my kennel name in multiple pedigrees of well-known winners of the AKC shows, and hopefully
own a few of those winners myself. I also have a personal goal in producing Great Danes that will least likely end up
abandoned due to health or temperment issues that most people do not consider when breeding. It should be every breeders'
goal to try to keep their offspring in forever homes, doing the correct health research and testing to improve those chances,
and eliminating dogs from breeding who do not meet those standards. During the year I may have available puppies from my selective breedings, but not very often. I
am considered a very small kennel, and as such I have the ability to keep my danes inside my home.
There is nothing that says more about a breeder than the physical condition of their Great Danes. And NO Great
Dane should ever be kept outside, they are meant to be part of a family, and as such, kept inside with human contact always.

BUYER BEWARE OF DAKANIRO KENNEL IN RUSSIA!!
THIS IS WHAT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE, INCLUDING A PROFESSIONAL BREEDER, WHEN YOU SEND YOUR MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY, TO WHAT
YOU ASSUME IS A REPUTABLE BREEDER. I recently tried to purchase a pup from Dakaniro Kennel in Russia,
BUYER BEWARE!!! I saw the great reviews on her listing at puppyfind.com. I sent money many months ago for
a harlequin (mostly white) pup. I paid in full when it was born, with the stipulation that if it was deaf I did not
want the pup. The pup did end up being deaf, so she was suppose to refund my money as promised. I never got the
refund, but it had only been 2 weeks when I saw she had anothe rlitter of pups born. I emailed her to ask since she
did not send my money back, could she let me have the harlequin female in her new litter instead for the same price.
She said she had though the transfer of money had been sent to me already, but her bank said the numbers were wrong....so
yes, she would now let me have the new puppy that had more marks than the first puppy (so it would not be as likely to be
deaf). Well it was a very nice harlequin girl puppy, show marked even. I was excited I had gotten this puppy.
Well you know what they say, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is. I followed the listing on this puppy on
puppyfind.com to see that she continued to be offered for sale at the price of $3500 several weeks after I had claimed the
puppy at age 3 days. I emailed her about this, as her website also only had another harl female from same litter listed
as reserved. I wanted to make sure she did not reserve me the wrong puppy. She stated that the reserved puppy
was for someone else, and yes, I had the show marked girl, and she changed the website to reflect the puppy was sold to Robin
Reed, and the puppyfind listing was removed. I assumed all was well, except for the fact I still had no photos of the
pup since she was 3 days old (now 4 weeks old). I was told she would take them every 2 weeks, which never happened.
So as the date got closer to shipping, I emailed her about sending someone to the airport to pick puppy up, this is when she
tells me she must ship puppy before 8 weeks of age, as she will not have other crates for an older puppy. Reluctantly
I agree, as I just want to see my new puppy, and she will be 7 weeks at least. 2 weeks pass and I get no confimation
about what flight company, flight number, or time or date....to pick the pup up. It is 6 days away and I need to make
the arrangements for her pickup. I email several times over the next 3 days...finally I get a response 3 days before
pup was suppose to arrive in USA. She states that the whole litter of pups has died, that her older female had caught
respiratory illness, and it killed the pups. So she will refund my money, half the end of this week, and the other half
1-2 weeks later, plus she would cover the transfer fees. It is only right since she has had my money now for over 4
months, after going through 2 new litters waiting. This was the week of Thanksgiving by the way. So I should have
had at least $1000 by Black Friday...but I didn't. Needless to say, I emailed about this, and again, no responses.
No money ever came, and no emails ever got returned. I have kept all of these email communications for proof to FCI,
so they may investigate, and determine if they will continue to allow her to register pups. In america, this is called
a scam. I assume they call it the same thing in Europe. I actually emailed Yulia before going to FCI, to allow
her to send my refund so no trouble would come to her. She still refuses to email me back. I now wonder if maybe
she just sold the pup to someone else for more money, since it was listed for a significantly higher price than I had paid
for several weeks after I was told it was mine. Or maybe the pup was turning out so well (which is why I never got photos
of the puppy after 3 days old) that she decided to keep the pup herself for showing. Well all this is fine, but at LEAST
send my money back! I don't know if the entire litter died as she says, because she still has 2 pups up for sale on
puppyfind that were born about 2 weeks before my pup was. And if they did die, why would I not hear anything before
3 days before the pup was to be here? And why did she not respond to my many emails before then? And why did she
not refund my money prior to this pup being offered for an exchange? It seems, as long as she could interest me in another
puppy, then she wouldn't have to be bother with sending my money back anytime soon, if at all. I hate to think that
this was planned, but woth all the little things...they add up to trouble for me. I am glad you had such a good experience
buying from her, but I certainly left a different review on puppyfind. I don't know if it has anything to do with the
economy, but what she has done is wrong, and other potential buyers need to know this. Especially if you are thinking
about buying a pup from her again. It would be pretty risky, but you might be OK. I certainly never angered her
or anything of the sort, so I don't know why this has happened to me. I am a reputable great dane breeder in NC, and
expected better professionalism from a larger kennel. I went off the great reviews, and this is what I got. As
you may already know, once you send your money out of state, there is no guarantees. There is no protection for your
money. All I can do now is alert others to what has happened any way I can. I will send this email to those who
have given her a good review, in case they are considering referring her to others, or buying another pup themselves.
I will follow up with FCI, and cooperate with providing them the detailed emails of our drawn-out transaction, that ended
in me getting scammed. I will also post this on my website for visitors to view, and make their own judgement
of whether to do business with her or not. As they say, buyer beware....especially when you have nothing to fall back
on with out of the country transactions. I am very disappointed to say the least. I would not ruin my reputation
for such a small amount of money that was not rightfully mine. Robin Reed MWD Great Danes www.mwdgreatdanes.com
